(Wood Dale, IL, July 21, 2011) – Benefect, based out of Flamborough, Ontario, Canada announced today that it sponsored DKI’s first annual charity golf outing, 18 Holes For Hope. The event took place on Tuesday, May 10, at the Glen Club in Glenview, IL and raised $4,000 for the American Red Cross.

Since its founding in 1881 by visionary leader Clara Barton, the American Red Cross has been the nation's premier emergency response organization. Today, in addition to domestic disaster relief, the American Red Cross offers compassionate services in five other areas: community services that help the needy; support and comfort for military members and their families; the collection, processing and distribution of lifesaving blood and blood products; educational programs that promote health and safety; and international relief and development programs.

Over ninety attendees including golfers and sponsors participated in the event. The day began at 8:00 am with a breakfast buffet followed by a shot-gun start. After a round of golf, participants attended the 18 Holes for Hope awards ceremony that included prizes for the contest winners and various raffles.

“We were very pleased to have such a great turnout at the event. The weather cooperated and those that participated enjoyed a beautiful day of golf while supporting such a worthy cause,” said Dale Sailer, DKI President. “The hard work that the American Red Cross does helps those who have been affected by unfathomable circumstances and we are glad we were able to raise money to help their efforts.”
